I am looking for a position of Chargé de mission Environment specialized in Water. Throughout my double academic training background I have gained solid knowledge on environmental issues, and those related to water in particular. I have acquired a perfect command of international and European law on these matters, as well as technical notions on environmental sciences (hydrology, hydrogeology, population and conservation ecology, environmental economics). I am familiar with the Integrated Water Resources Management approach I have studied through two master theses on the Senegal and Nile rivers (to be published by L’Harmattan editions). I have also developed a comprehensive understanding of the role and functioning of the not-for-profit sector and international institutions (donors, UN and national development agencies). During my first two years of professional experience I have built up a network of contacts in the environment field. As Chargé de mission Environment at the French Embassy in Kenya (headquarters of the UNEP & UN-HABITAT) and as the Environment program assistant of the French Institute of International Relations (Ifri), I have shown autonomy and demonstrated excellent interpersonal as well as communication skills, both written & oral. Moreover, I specialized in water management issues as Assistant to the UNESCO Division of water sciences and as Chargé de mission “World Water Forum” at the International Office for Water.
