Short description / Biography
I am the Resource person of the Water Community, the UN’s knowledge management (KM) program. I work in KM, have excellent program management (PM) and partnership skills.
I promote KM that helps individuals and institutions expand their activities and horizons. My work informs policy and programs of the government, NGOs and donors. I bring out publications that reflect state-of-the-sector knowledge on water management, governance and conflicts. For example, I facilitated e-consultations to seek provide the government inputs for the development of India’s five year plan.
I am a published author of books on India’s traditional water wisdom, rural governance and trends in rural development. I have been writing on environment, health and social trends as well as on business topics for nearly 25 years. My essay was published in a UN-sponsored publication Water Voices From Around The World.
With my PM skills I set up and ran the regional centre for an international NGO and my KM firm, including their strategy and monitoring. I doubled the Community’s reach and size in 3.5 years. I foster partnerships of members to execute projects.
