Jean-Pierre Tamisier - - "Dans le cadre du large processus de conciliation pour la mise en œuvre effective du droit à l’eau qui fait désormais consensus, nous remercions Monsieur Nicolas SARKOZY, Monsieur François HOLLANDE Président de la République ainsi que les différents acteurs de l’eau pour leurs réponses, leurs attentions sur la situation des demandeurs en eau potable du Haut-Vidourle et de l’intérêt porté sur la problématique de l’eau et son droit. Nous retenons avec satisfaction les attendus des interventions et contrôles de l’Etat du 01 mars 2011 et 24 janvier 2013 qui concluent à l’obligation de desserte pour les demandeurs en eau potable du Haut-Vidourle. Nous sommes très reconnaissants de la transmission de ce plaidoyer à Madame Delphine BATHO, ministre de l’écologie, du développement durable et de l’énergie. Nous sommes convaincus que la concrétisation de ce nouveau droit de l’homme en droit opposable devient une nécessité et que la loi doit devenir un élément majeur de conciliation dans la prévention et le règlement pacifique des conflits. The key issue that must be urgently addressed is the paradigm of Continuous Economic Growth which is a major cause of both human and environmental degradation. Fortunately, there is an alternative or solution: Relocalized, steady-state economies based on an Earth jurisprudence. Wars, injustice, environmental threats and virtually all other social and planetary ills stem from a disconnected mindset or belief system. We believe we are separate from nature and must dominate it for our own well-being and to reach our potential–even if this means using up all resources and destroying the web of life that is actually our life support system through Continuous Economic Growth. The Mindset manifests today as insatiable greed and arrogance, and is leading to fossil fuel and other resource depletion, global warming and biospheric toxicity, and loss of sovereignty to corporations and elite special interests. These directly lead to all of our other personal, social, economic, and environmental problems. If we do not cure the problem at the root source by replacing the Continuous Economic Growth paradigm with the alternative of steady-state local living economies, then the fires of greed will burn this planet to a crisp–both figuratively and literally–which is something else we’ll be needing water for.
