In order to make the “Astana Water Action” more practical and concrete, as well as to increase its political relevance, it is proposed that Governments at or before the Astana Ministerial Conference voluntarily commit to implementing several of the suggested actions and report on their implementation at the Eighth Ministerial Conference. Such voluntary commitments could be included in the annex of the Astana Water Action adopted at the Conference.
