Workers are too often ignored as stakeholders in decision making processes. But in the end they are the ones that should do the job to provide water services. It is also clear that there is a tremendous source of knowledge among the workers within all the water operators. This knowledge should be used and workers need to be involved to get their commitment or increase their commitment to do the job. That is what workers want to do: to provide a good service to the people. This cannot be imposed top-down by government or management. Workers are a major stakeholder and therefore must be involved in all stage of decision making and in all stages of service provision.
