Center for Environment and Development for the Arab Region and Europe (CEDARE) was established in 1992 as an international inter-governmental Organization with diplomatic status. As a renowned Intergovernmental research organization that happens to be the technical Secretariat of the African Ministerial Council of North Africa, CEDARE could be the North African Knowledge hub, given its involvement in most, if not all water related processes in the region.
