In West Africa, the construction of large water infrastructures is top of the agenda and many dams are foreseen for the future.  Within ECOWAS, the Economic Community of West African States (15 countries, 300 million inhabitants), the role of the Water Resource Coordination Center (WRCC) is to help member states to better manage water resources and to develop sustainable projects that can be useful for the economy of the region.
