A traveling hands-on exhibit that models problems and solutions about sanitation issues such as hand washing, managing pet waste and water storage could be used to reach children, youth and by extension women.  Imagine for example a “hand” to which “germs” are attached. Placing the hand under water and soaped (could be simulated) so the germs wash off makes for an engaging and illustrative example of why one should wash their hands.

Young people account for 20% of the world population. Thus the Youth of our societies must be allowed to play its part in this 6th Forum for highlighting their commitment for water and also to contribute to the Forum with solutions based on initiatives and projects developed by the young citizens of the world.

P’tits bouts du monde est une association créée à partir d’un projet de voyage d’une famille autour du monde en voilier. Ce voyage a pour thème les enfants du monde et l’eau. L’objectif est essentiellement la sensibilisation des hommes sur l’utilisation et la disponibilité de l’eau pour tous dans une approche pédagogique et culturelle auprès des enfants.

There is life in Water! A Poster contest for youngsters!

An annual competition that is open to every primary and secondary school on the Loire river basin where pupils have to propose a poster describing one aspect of life in water. Posters are then selected by a jury, published for the World Water Day and sent to all the schools.
