Most water solutions concern only the lowlands. Uplands are very much neglected for several reasons: politically not interesting, no knowledge of technical solutions, difficult to reach etc. But Auke Idzenga an active member of this platform took up this challenge to develop a fascinating and extremely simple  solution to provide water in regions with high altitudes!  He is a Solutions Provider who came all the way from the Philippines to share his solution at the Village of solutions during. He is also one of the founders of AIDFI, a local Philippine NGO, committed to fabrication and installation of Appropriate Technologies for rural development. In this video Auke explains how his solution- RAM PUMP – works.
